The death toll from floods in Nepal and China surpassed 1,000, with over 4,400 people missing. The disaster started on August 26 after a glacial collapse. Prime Minister Balendra Shah said, “Thousands of citizens have lost their homes, families, loved ones and property.” Rescue teams now work to reach isolated areas.
