Scientists built a quantum battery prototype that charges in femtoseconds using superabsorption. Researcher James Quach led the team that created this device. Dario Ferraro said, "Quantum batteries are intended to improve the speed and control of energy delivery." While it cannot power phones yet, it shows how energy works.
