off hits mainland markets; Alibaba lifts Hong Kong shares

Mainland China stocks fell on Thursday as technology shares struggled. The Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.8 percent, while the CSI300 index fell 0.9 percent. Meanwhile, Hong Kong shares got a boost as Alibaba jumped 4.8 percent after the company said its AI model would be integrated into Apple devices in China.
