Meta to take legal action against Israeli spyware firm NSO, foils phishing attacks

Meta is taking legal action against NSO Group, filing a federal court contempt order for violating an injunction. WhatsApp disrupted NSO's new "1-click" phishing attacks, similar to past campaigns. Meta said it "disrupted new spear phishing attempts linked to NSO." The company also took down test accounts and groups created by the spyware firm.
