Google is sunsetting its Assistant after 10 years, starts emailing users about what is next

Google started emailing Android users to say that Google Assistant will begin disappearing from eligible devices from September 4. The company said that Google Assistant is "being discontinued" and Gemini is now the assistant experience on Android. The rollout will happen in phases over several weeks across many supported devices.
