India finished the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya with 21 gold medals after the men's hockey team beat Malaysia on Saturday. Following wins in archery and hockey, India confirmed qualification spots for the LA 2028 Olympics in five disciplines. Many athletes, including Kumkum Mohod and Dhiraj Bommadevara, got their spots.

India ends the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya with a haul of 21 gold medals after the Indian men's hockey team defeated Malaysia in their final on Saturday.

Coming into the Asian Games, there were four sports - hockey, archery, tennis, and surfing - in which Indians could seal qualification spots at the LA 2028 Olympics if they won gold at the Asiad.

After successful campaigns in archery and hockey, India has now confirmed quotas in five disciplines.
