LPL co-owner arrested in Sri Lanka ahead of tournament opener

A co-owner of the Jaffna Kings franchise was arrested in Sri Lanka on Friday, July 17, for allegedly trying to bribe a player. Sri Lanka Cricket said the tournament will proceed as planned. They have a zero-tolerance approach to corruption and will ensure the league is conducted with utmost dignity.
