India scored 368 for three on Day 1. Shubman Gill (103 not out) and KL Rahul (100) hit centuries. Sai Sudharsan added 81. Rishabh Pant also played well. Afghanistan's bowlers struggled on the pitch. Coach Richard Pybus said, "They don't have cricket fields, they have cricket grounds."
