Asian Games, Oct 1 schedule: IND vs PAK double-header takes centre stage

India face a packed day at the Asian Games, with the spotlight on a high-profile India-Pakistan double-header in volleyball and hockey. The men's volleyball team meet Pakistan in the quarterfinal, while the hockey team take on their arch-rivals in the semifinal.

The day also features India's men's cricket semifinal against Sri Lanka, with a place in the final at stake. In squash, both the women's and men's teams are assured of medals and will look to progress further.

Several Indian athletes will also be chasing medals across wrestling, shooting, archery, rugby, cycling and sport climbing. Anish competes in the 25m rapid-fire pistol final, while Ganesh Mani Ratnam Thirumuru begins his men's compound individual campaign.
