The SKA project: A model for dialogue between historical astronomical archives, local memory and modern science

South African researcher Anton Binneman studied how Indigenous knowledge evolves alongside modern science. His work, linked to the SKA-Mid telescope project, involved meetings with 52 elders. Binneman said, "Stories are not frozen in time." The study showed that local communities continuously update their traditional narratives to include new scientific research.
