INCOIS targets marine pollution with high-tech monitoring push

INCOIS started 'NIRMAL Sagar' on Monday, a clean-ocean initiative. It uses ocean modelling, satellite data, and AI to create the Indian Ocean's first marine litter-tracking system. The goal is to find pollution hotspots and forecast debris movement for clean-up. Many scholars will also collaborate.
