Archaeologists found red lines on a stone flake in 2011, pushing back the earliest known drawing by 30,000 years! This "cross-hatched pattern of red lines" from Blombos Cave, South Africa, was made with ochre around 73,000 years ago. It shows early humans were deliberately creating art much earlier than we thought.
