ICMR’s i-DRONE initiative cut TB diagnosis turnaround time by 10 days in Telangana’s Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district. The study of 840 participants showed that drone transport reduced the median time from 15 days to five. Patients also saved money, as out-of-pocket costs fell from ₹9,451 to ₹91, helping many people in remote areas.
