A new Viewpoint article in ACS Pharmacology & Translational Science suggests fibrinogen helps SARS-CoV-2 hide from antibodies and reach blood vessels. Researchers Saroj Kumar Panda, Shashi Singh, and Parth Sarthi Sen Gupta said the protein acts as a molecular bridge, linking the virus to cells and causing severe vascular damage.
