On August 5, 2013, NASA engineers made the Curiosity rover sing "Happy Birthday" to itself on Mars. The team used the chemistry laboratory to vibrate at specific frequencies. Lead engineer Florence Tan said, "To make the soil samples fall, we have to program it to vibrate in different frequencies."
