A gruesome discovery: Ancient skeleton reveals the 'brutal' reality of being hit by a trebuchet.
A skeleton found beneath Scotland's Stirling Castle had more than 160 fractures; researchers say it is the first confirmed death from a trebuchet. Discovered in 1997, the remains date to the 1300s. Jo Buckberry said, "The breaks indicate a very large area of impact and devastation." It was a battle.
