The Karnataka government released a draft law on July 15 to overhaul apartment management. It proposes mandatory structural audits for buildings over 30 years old and a 75 percent owner consent for redevelopment. CM DK Shivakumar said, "When a property is handed over, owners must have full legal rights over it."
