VCK chief Thol Thirumavalavan demanded Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation over alleged electoral malpractice. Thirumavalavan said, "Gyanesh Kumar should resign from his post." He added that Vijay’s TVK will join statewide protests in Tamil Nadu from October 13 to 15 alongside the Congress, VCK, MDMK, and other Left parties.

Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) chief Thol Thirumavalavan has demanded Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation, alleging that he colluded with the ruling BJP and RSS in electoral malpractice.

Speaking to India Today TV, Thirumavalavan said TVK would join statewide protests against the Union government in Tamil Nadu from October 13 to 15.

Chief Minister Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) will join the agitation alongside the Congress, VCK, MDMK and Left parties, he said.

"Gyanesh Kumar should resign from his post," Thirumavalavan said. He alleged that the Chief Election Commissioner had acted against the Constitution and democracy through collusion with the BJP and RSS.
