Veteran TMC leader Rabindranath Ghosh joined the rebel faction led by Ritabrata Banerjee. He said, "oust Abhishek Banerjee, at least for the time being" to reunite the party. Ghosh claimed that Abhishek’s influence and the I-PAC consultancy firm caused many loyalists to leave. Now, both sides battle for party control.
