Tej Pratap's party candidate's Bihar bypoll nomination rejected: What does law say

Election officials rejected Veena Manvi’s nomination for the July 30 Bankipur Assembly by-election. The candidate of Tej Pratap Yadav’s Janshakti Janata Dal got into trouble because her papers had only nine valid proposers. Election law requires ten for unrecognised parties. Officials said the Returning Officer had no option but to reject.
