Tamil Nadu passes TET exemption bill for government teachers appointed before 2010

The Tamil Nadu Assembly on Tuesday passed a resolution urging the Centre to exempt government teachers appointed before August 23, 2010, from the Teacher Eligibility Test. Minister A Rajmohan said, "Forcing experienced educators to take the exam is unfair and threatens their job security." Many teachers could lose their service benefits.
