Supreme Court extends West Bengal teachers' tenure till May 31, 2027, calls it final opportunity

The Supreme Court extended the tenure of eligible West Bengal teachers until May 31, 2027, on Monday. Around 17,000 teachers got relief as the court called this the final opportunity to continue in their posts. The state government said the fresh recruitment process is already underway but needs more time.
