Shivakumar's elevation as Karnataka CM poses existential challenge for JD(S)

Shivakumar becoming Karnataka CM is a big challenge for JD(S). Party sources said, "The next Assembly elections will be an existential one anyway for the JD(S)." They might bring H.D. Kumaraswamy back to state politics, possibly giving up his Union Minister seat. This is because Shivakumar, a Vokkaliga leader, is now CM.
