NC, BJP join hands to pass Kargil hill council budget

The National Conference and BJP joined hands in the Kargil Autonomous Hill Development Council to pass the annual budget. Twenty councillors voted in favour, strengthening Chief Executive Councillor Mohammad Jaffar Akhoon. This move reshaped local political equations as Akhoon faces a no-confidence motion from Congress and some of his party members.
