Lok Sabha Admits Motion Opposing Ordinance to Expand Supreme Court Bench

The Lok Sabha admitted a resolution opposing an ordinance that increased Supreme Court judges from 34 to 38. The government plans to replace this ordinance with a bill during the Monsoon session. Former law secretary P K Malhotra said, "An ordinance has a life of six months but once a session commences."
