Kolkata airport on high alert as mass namaz protest called off after police talks

Kolkata airport remained on high alert Friday after police stopped a mass namaz protest. Authorities enforced Section 163 of the BNSS to prevent large gatherings near the airport. After talks with senior officers, leader Siddiqullah Chowdhury called off the event. Suvendu Adhikari said, "National security and security of the airport will gain priority."
