Mr Vaiko said the corruption charges levelled against the TVK government are baseless
Tiruchy: MDMK leader Durai Vaiko MP has welcomed the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) joining the INDIA bloc.
He told media persons at Tiruchy on Sunday that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar is acting against the Indian Constitution. Arbitrary decisions have been made in several states, including West Bengal, affecting the voting rights of Muslims and Christians. He said the MDMK will participate in the protest to be taken out by the INDIA bloc MPs in New Delhi on October 6 against the functioning of the election commission and the disenfranchisement of voters.
He pointed out that senior leaders and next generation leaders of a movement with 70-year heritage like the DMK should set a good example in Tamil Nadu politics. It is condemnable that they are speaking with double meanings and body shaming. The people of Tamil Nadu, especially women, will teach a proper lesson through elections to such slanders, he added.
Mr Vaiko said the corruption charges levelled against the TVK government are baseless. Claiming that the TVK gives money for votes is a defamatory accusation, he added.
He said in this bye-elections, the DMK will be relegated to the third place, or it won't be surprising if they lose their deposit. AIADMK might come in second place, he said.
