Abhishek Banerjee 'attack' accused linked to ex-TMC MLA Lovely Maitra? What we know

TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee was attacked with stones and eggs in Sonarpur on Saturday. Five people were arrested, and police said they are looking into connections to ex-TMC MLA Lovely Maitra. BJP leader Sukanta Majumdar claimed the accused are TMC workers close to Maitra. Maitra denied this, saying some attackers are BJP workers.
