7 cops injured, 10 detained as Garib Nagar anti-encroachment drive turns violent

Things got heated during an anti-encroachment drive in Garib Nagar on Wednesday. After a religious spot was partly demolished, locals got upset. Police said "some anti-social elements tried to obstruct the work by pelting stones." Seven cops got hurt, and 10 people were held. The drive is still going on.
