Worst flood in two decades hits MP's Chitrakoot as Mandakini swells; nearly 1,000 rescued

The Mandakini River rose 13 metres above the danger mark, causing the worst flood in two decades in Chitrakoot. Heavy rain on Friday and Saturday forced nearly 1,000 people to move to relief camps. District Magistrate Pulkit Garg said, “The Mandakini River flowed 13 metres above the danger mark.”
