Who is John Bannan? Alabama man, 56, convicted of killing beloved elderly rescue dog Jack

A jury convicted 56-year-old John Bannan of Union Grove for the aggravated cruelty of an elderly dog named Jack. Evidence showed Bannan beat and shot the animal after it wandered onto his property. District Attorney Jennifer Bray said, "What he could not do was torture and kill a harmless dog."
