Where did India's rain go? Study finds one-fourth of monsoon water lost in the air

A study by the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology found that one-fourth of India's monsoon rain evaporates before reaching the ground. This loss affects soil moisture and groundwater levels. As of July 14, India recorded 19% less rainfall than normal, adding to the worries of farmers across the country today.
