Supreme Court grants arrest protection to journalist Abhishek Upadhyay in UP road-rage FIR

The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted journalist Abhishek Upadhyay protection from arrest regarding a road-rage FIR filed by Uttar Pradesh Police. The Bench directed that “no coercive action shall be taken against the petitioner.” Upadhyay denied the allegations, claiming the FIR was based on fictitious reasons after his recent investigations.
