Supreme Court cancels Karnataka BJP MLC Pranesh's election, Congress wins seat

The Supreme Court on Thursday set aside the 2021 election of BJP MLC M K Pranesh. Congress candidate A V Gayathri Shanthegowda became the winner after the court dismissed a petition. Gayathri said, "Our stand that nominee voters should not have been allowed to vote has been upheld." Congress strength increased.
