The BJP on Friday accused Rahul Gandhi and his foreign collaborators of trying to create anarchy in India. Spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari claimed Gandhi stands against national interests to gain power. Meanwhile, the Congress hit back, saying the Modi government failed to protect Indian IT professionals from recent US actions.

The BJP on Friday hit back at the Congress over its criticism of the Modi government's response to US actions affecting Indian IT professionals, accusing Rahul Gandhi and his "foreign collaborators" of attempting to create anarchy in the country.

In a series of posts on X, BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the guardian of Indian interests and accused the Congress leader of standing against the Indian state.

"Do not forget! Rahul Gandhi openly declared in the past -- 'We are fighting the Indian state'," Bhandari said.

"In his eagerness to come to power, Rahul Gandhi and his foreign collaborators want to create anarchy," he alleged, adding that Gandhi had repeatedly stood against India's national interests and willingly surrendered.

Bhandari also targeted Congress leader Jairam Ramesh over his criticism of the heavy security deployment ahead of the Cockroach Janata Party's (CJP) October 10 protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

"Do not panic. People of India are seeing through Mir Jafar Rahul Gandhi and your cabal," the BJP spokesperson said, adding, "Mr Jairam Ramesh, your attempt to create anarchy won't succeed."

Earlier in the day, the Congress had accused the Modi government of failing to retaliate against US actions affecting Indian IT professionals, saying India had several options but a "thoroughly compromised" Prime Minister, allegedly under "siege" over "GyaneshGate", would not act.

The opposition party also claimed that the heavy security deployment ahead of the CJP protest reflected "panic and nervousness" following four days of protests by the INDIA bloc.
