Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25-year political journey, describing it as a period focused on public welfare, support for the poor and strengthening India’s global standing.
Shah was speaking at the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha: Seva Jyoti Yatra’ event in Gurugram, Haryana, where he urged the country’s youth to take inspiration from Modi’s journey.
‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ Celebrates Modi’s Public Service
Shah said Modi’s 25 years as Chief Minister and Prime Minister represented a journey centred on public service and the welfare of the poor. He said the celebrations under the ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ were aimed at encouraging young people across the country to draw lessons from the Prime Minister’s political career.
“Modi ji’s 25-year journey as Chief Minister and Prime Minister is a journey of public welfare, poor welfare, and India’s pride," Shah said.
He added that he participated in the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha: Seva Jyoti Yatra’ organised in Gurugram as part of the celebrations.
Shah Highlights India’s Progress Under Modi
Shah said that under Modi’s leadership, India had taken steps towards reducing poverty while making progress across areas ranging from science to heritage.
He also said the country had strengthened its identity as a self-respecting nation.
According to Shah, the Prime Minister’s journey and his vision for the country should serve as an inspiration for the younger generation.
Call For Developed India By 2047
Shah also called on people to reaffirm their commitment to the goal of making India a developed nation by 2047.
He urged people not to stop, lose focus or give up until the target set before the country is achieved.
“Let us, on this occasion today, resolve that we will neither stop, nor tire, nor deviate from the path until we achieve the goal of a developed India by 2047 that Modi ji has set before the country," Shah said.
