A massive ice and rock fall triggered the devastating Nepal floods on August 26, experts said. The disaster destroyed homes and bridges, killing over 900 people. Bishal Nath Upreti said, "A massive rock and ice fall into the valley generated the earthquake." Researchers found no evidence of a lake outburst.
