India-US trade deal to be finalised after Section 301 probe, govt official says

India and the US aim to finalise a trade deal after Section 301 probes conclude. An official said India wants assurance against future tariffs. The US proposed 12.5 per cent tariffs on India and 53 other countries. Commerce minister Piyush Goyal said both sides are closing "all the open ends."
