India @79: Much is done, much remains to be done

India faced many complex issues during the 1960s, including droughts, famine, and war. While cities lacked electricity and social inequality persisted, the nation also started key progress. India established IIMs, launched its first rocket from Thumba, and began the Green Revolution. Today, India is on its way to become an economic superpower.
