Grand Canyon flash flood: National Park to close hotels, enforce water restrictions - 5 things to know

Grand Canyon National Park will close all South Rim hotels and enforce strict water rules starting August 31. This follows flash flooding on August 29 that damaged the Transcanyon Waterline. Officials said, "Immediate conservation is essential." While day visitors can still enter, campgrounds will switch to dry camping for now.
