China Rejects Criticism Linking Tibet Hydropower Projects To Nepal Flash Flood

China on Monday dismissed claims linking its hydropower projects in Tibet to the August 26 flash flood disaster in Nepal. Spokesman Guo Jiakun said, "In the face of tragic disasters, we reject malicious speculation that has no factual basis." The floods killed 903 people in Nepal, leaving thousands still missing.
