After Supreme Court rap, Gujarat cops act on custodial death of cow-slaughter accused

A three-member Special Investigation Team started a probe into the custodial death of Zahiruddin Ghyasuddin Shaikh on Tuesday. The FIR, registered on August 4, follows a Supreme Court order. Police allegedly forced Shaikh to swallow an overdose of his medicines while in custody at Vejalpur police station in May.
