സുപ്രീം കോടതിക്ക് സമീപം ജന്തർ മന്ദിറിലേക്ക് മാർച്ച് നടത്തിയ അഭിഭാഷകരെ ഡൽഹി പോലീസ് കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുത്തു. സിഇസി ഗ്യാനേഷ് കുമാറിന്റെ രാജി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടായിരുന്നു പ്രതിഷേധം. ഭഗവാൻ ദാസ് റോഡിൽ വെച്ച് ബാരിക്കേഡുകൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് പോലീസ് ഇവരെ തടയുകയായിരുന്നു. തലസ്ഥാനത്ത് സുരക്ഷ കർശനമാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. പ്രതിഷേധം തുടരുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ വൻ പോലീസ് സന്നാഹമാണ് സ്ഥലത്തുള്ളത്.

Several lawyers, dressed in formal suits, were also detained on Bhagwan Das Road near the Supreme Court while attempting to march towards Jantar Mantar. They raised slogans and carried posters demanding Mr. Kumar's resignation before police stopped them at barricades.

"Delhi Police have detained many advocates who were protesting near the Supreme Court," said All India Lawyers Union's Sanjay Kumar.
"We have been detained at the barricades right next to Gate C of the Supreme Court. We were allowed to march for about 100 yards before being stopped. Many of my friends have managed to go ahead," a lawyer said.

Police and Railway Protection Force personnel wearing protective gear moved in to disperse the gathering. Women lawyers were stopped by women personnel, while other protesters were escorted to detention buses.
The detentions came amid heightened security across the national capital ahead of the proposed demonstration.
