Weekly Rupee View: Recovery faces test

The rupee gained 79 paise last week, closing at 94.56 against the dollar. Easing West Asia tensions and a deal between the US and Iran helped. Brent crude fell nearly 7 per cent. Foreign investors got back in, with $421 million net inflows. Wholesale inflation, however, accelerated to 9.68 per cent.
