RBI to test polymer banknotes in India; Rs 10 and Rs 20 notes to debut next fiscal

The Reserve Bank of India will test polymer banknotes starting next fiscal year. RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra said, "Polymer notes enhance the life and durability of banknotes." The bank will launch Rs 10 and Rs 20 notes to check how they perform in Indian weather. These notes should last much longer.
