Number of new projects plunge to two-decade low in June quarter

New projects announced fell to a two-decade low in the June quarter, with only 663 projects recorded. Data from the CMIE showed that uncertainty from the West Asia war and high oil prices caused companies to defer plans. While project counts fell, total investment values rose to Rs 14.6 lakh crore.
