Japan's Nikkei falls over 3% as global chip selloff hits semiconductor stocks
Japan's Nikkei share average fell more than 3% on Tuesday as global chip stocks took a hit. The index dropped 3.59% following heavy losses in U.S. markets. "Investors are cautious about buying stocks before earnings," said Daisuke Hashizume. Many tech shares fell, and bank stocks also got caught in the slide.
