Former ED officer who probed Nirav Modi, Mallya cases takes voluntary retirement

A top ED officer who investigated Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya cases has taken early retirement. Satyabrata Kumar, who spent nearly 12 years with the ED, was granted approval for VRS in April. He was "instrumental in the attachment of several foreign-based assets" in the PNB fraud case.
