Foreign promoters trim stakes in fewer Nifty-500 firms in FY26, while increasing stakes in more

Foreign promoters trimmed stakes in fewer Nifty-500 firms during FY26 compared to FY25. Data showed that 40 companies saw a reduction in foreign promoter stake, while 21 companies witnessed an increase. Despite FPIs net selling ₹1.80 lakh crore from Indian equities, these promoters showed more faith in the local market.
