JSW Dulux set October 22 as the record date for its 1:10 stock split. Each share with a face value of Rs 10 will split into 10 shares of Re 1 each. Shareholders approved this move on September 20, 2026. The company recently reported a profit of Rs 79.7 crore.
The company recently announced the record date in a regulatory filing. Under the proposed stock split, each fully paid-up equity share with a face value of Rs 10 will be subdivided into 10 equity shares with a face value of Re 1 each.
The October 22 record date will determine the shareholders eligible for the proposed stock split.
In its exchange filing, JSW Dulux said the record date has been fixed for determining the eligibility of shareholders for the subdivision of one existing equity share of Rs 10 each into 10 fully paid-up equity shares of Re 1 each.
The proposal was approved by the company's shareholders through a postal ballot on September 20, 2026.
The board had approved the proposed share subdivision during the company's June-quarter results announcement. The subsequent shareholder approval through postal ballot cleared the way for the corporate action.
For unaware, the record date is an important date for shareholder as it will determine eligibility for the split.
The proposed share split comes after JSW Paints, part of the $23 billion JSW Group, acquired a 60.76 per cent stake in Akzo Nobel India in December 2025.
The acquisition was completed under a share purchase agreement involving JSW Paints Ltd, Imperial Chemicals Industries Ltd and Akzo Nobel Coatings International BV.
Following the transaction, the company was renamed JSW Dulux.
The acquisition marked JSW Group's entry into the established paints and coatings business through the acquisition of the Indian operations of the Dulux brand.
The company's June-quarter performance was subdued. JSW Dulux reported a 12.4 per cent year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 79.7 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 91 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Revenue from operations stood at Rs 965 crore in the June quarter, down 2.82 per cent from Rs 993.1 crore in Q1 FY26.
The performance comes against a backdrop of intense competition in the paints sector. Paint manufacturers are expecting double-digit growth to continue into the festive season while implementing fresh price increases to offset higher input costs.
However, competition across price segments remains a key challenge for the industry.
Shares of JSW Dulux were trading at Rs 2,954.20 on the NSE at around 1:35 pm on October 5, 2026, down Rs 66.40, or 2.20 per cent, from the previous close.
The stock opened at Rs 3,048.40 and touched an intraday high of Rs 3,058.50 and a low of Rs 2,943.40.
The stock has a 52-week high of Rs 3,376.20 and a 52-week low of Rs 2,857. Its market capitalisation stood at around Rs 13,760 crore.
